Sessions at the meetup and backyard studio happen outdoors. If weather doesn't cooperate, we'll move inside — no need to worry about losing your spot or rescheduling.

What a session looks like

Every class starts with a short conversation about what you're drawn to, then moves into a quick paper sketch to plan your composition before we transfer it to canvas. From there, we build up color and shape, then layer in texture and detail, finishing with highlights, edges, and final touches. Longer classes (like the flagship series) spread this across two sessions for a more developed piece; shorter classes move through it in one sitting.
